Les Cahiers de l'Institut Pascal: a new publication

IPa Life Article published on 19 July 2023 , Updated on 16 November 2023

The Pascal Institute at the University of Paris-Saclay is thrilled to announce the launch of its new collection of proceedings, the Cahiers de l'Institut Pascal.

This collection aims to publish white papers associated with our thematic programs. Their primary goal is to capture the scientific essence of the vibrant discussions that have taken place at the Pascal Institute during these program weeks and contribute to the dissemination of knowledge within the scientific community.

In collaboration with the publisher EDP Sciences and the University's Direction des bibliothèques, de l'information et de la science ouverte, these Cahiers follow the principles of open access publishing, adopting the diamond format: no publication fees for authors and free access for readers.

The first published Cahier, titled Reimagine Physics Teaching: a workshop designed to spark exchanges and creativity, documents a workshop held at the Pascal Institute in May 2022 on physics education, which, like many other disciplines, has been dramatically impacted by the recent Covid-19 pandemic.  This program aimed at experimenting new ways of sharing current innovative practices and collectively designing new pedagogical activities. You can find an exciting report of the program and its conclusion through this link.

A second issue is already in preparation.

We invite you to discover the Cahiers de l'Institut Pascal and we hope that this collection will contribute to stimulating scientific research and fostering exchanges within the academic community.
