Now at IPa : ECOGAL

The ECOGAL project returns to Institut Pascal, continuing its now regular presence at the Institute. This ERC Synergy project aims to develop a unified, multi-scale understanding of the Galactic ecosystem, from the structure of the Milky Way down to the formation of stars and planets.

By combining large-scale observations, advanced numerical simulations, and innovative data analysis approaches, ECOGAL tackles key questions on star formation, planet-forming disks, and galaxy-wide dynamics. As in previous editions, the program will alternate focused discussions with collaborative work sessions, making the most of the Institute’s environment to strengthen interactions among participating teams.
