Now at IPa : ISAPP School and Fink@World

Since 8 June, Institut Pascal has been hosting two major international events in parallel, bringing together researchers, students, and experts from around the world.

The ISAPP School Paris-Saclay 2026 gathers around 30 PhD students and young postdoctoral researchers for a two-week program dedicated to high-energy astrophysics and cosmic rays. Covering topics from observations to source modelling, the school places a special emphasis on multi-messenger astronomy in the emerging CTAO era. The program combines lectures, hands-on sessions, and student presentations, creating a dynamic and highly international learning environment.

At the same time, Fink@World is taking place as part of the Rubin Broker Summit (RBS). The event celebrates a major milestone for the Fink project: after seven years of development using ZTF data, Fink successfully began streaming alerts from the Vera C. Rubin Observatory in February 2026. The week features scientific talks, training sessions on cloud computing, machine learning, and Fink/LSST data services, as well as dedicated time for collaborative work and discussions on the future of the project.

Together, these events highlight Institut Pascal’s role as a hub for scientific exchange, training, and innovation.
