LUMIèRE ((Latest Upgraded Methodologies for the Investigation of X-Ray Emitting sources)

This workshop aims at gathering experts across the high-energy astrophysics community to define a new generation of analysis tools using advanced algorithms to maximize the scientific return of our complex X-ray datasets.  The goals of this meeting is to present the limitations of existing tools and have an overview of the ongoing efforts and methods available towards a new generation of X-ray analysis tools.

This workshop does not have a typical conference format. We plan to have:

• A few general overview presentations

• Tutorials led by experts on topics such as innovative fitting tools and their comparisons, observation simulation software, and methods for accelerating analyses 

• Short presentations by participants with a particular focus on innovative methods and the challenges in their research fields, both methodological and scientific.

• Ample free time for collaboration and discussions on key challenges within the community.
